String Saturdays at SAYM

Come along to one of our Saturday morning string groups and join in the music making. There are no tests or auditions; but you do need to be able to read music for your instrument. If you are not sure come and join in a session as a ‘taster’ and we can advise the best group for you.  For more information read on and then contact Anna in the SAYM ‘office’ –  admin@saym.org.uk

Players may also wish to join the Childrens Choir at 09:00 or Youth Choir at 11:00 all included in the SAYM fees to enjoy a morning of music making!

Beginner Strings

Beginner Strings is for young musicians playing Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass, we play lots of different fun and engaging music with differentiated parts.  Definitely worth coming along after the first term of lessons and trying out a session with us. A super friendly and enjoyable introduction to making music with others.

Junior String Orchestra

Junior String Orchestra is for young musicians who have reached at least grade 1 in Violin, Viola, Cello or Double Bass. Lots of fun music making!

Intermediate String Orchestra

Intermediate String Orchestra is for young musicians who have reached at least grade 3 in Violin, Viola, Cello or Double Bass. Classical, Film, Musicals, we cover it all.

Salisbury Youth Orchestra (Fridays)

Salisbury Youth Orchestra is one of  our most advanced groups and plays a range of music from classical to film.  All to a high standard of performance with lots of enjoyable music making along the way.
