Primary Live
Each year Salisbury Area Young Musicians raises money to bring music making to the wider community of young musicians and singers in the Salisbury area.
The annual Primary Live event has been a huge success. Over the last three years over 3000 children have participated in this singing spectacular accompanied by a live orchestra.
Our First Access Project creates exciting performance opportunities for young musicians making music in whole class instrumental music lessons in school. Variations on this theme have included a mass workshop in the City Hall with over 150 musicians and first access musicians playing with and listening to a professional string quartet. In the quartet project over 500 children experienced live music making in their school. For several years this project has been made possible by generous funding from the Salisbury based travel company On Foot Holidays.
These projects are important part of what SAYM wants to offer children and young people in the Salisbury area. Please do get in touch if you feel you might be able to make a donation to support similar projects and help us bring the joy of music making to as many children and young people as possible in the Salisbury area.
