Beginner Strings
Beginner Strings is a great introduction to making music with other string players. For young musicians playing Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass, we play lots of different music with differentiated parts. Definitely worth coming along after the first term of lessons.
If you would like to join SAYM you are very welcome to come along to any of the Saturday morning groups and join in the music making. There are no tests or auditions; but you do need to be able to read music for your instrument. If you are not sure come and join in a session as a ‘taster’ and we can advise the best group for you. Salisbury Youth Orchestra
Salisbury Youth Orchestra is one of our senior groups and plays a range of repertoire from classical to film music.
Entry for this ensemble is by audition or teacher recommendation (There are a limited number of spaces for woodwind and brass). If you are of the required standard please do get in touch and come along and join in a rehearsal.
