Intermediate Wind Band is for young musicians who have reach a good level of confidence with a wind or brass instrument including Flute, Oboe, Bassoon Saxophone, Clarinet, Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn etc. Percussion players are also included.
If you would like to join SAYM you are very welcome to come along to any of the Saturday morning groups and join in the music making. There are no tests or auditions; but you do need to be able to read music for your instrument. If you are not sure come and join in a session as a ‘taster’ and if you like it we can advise the best group for you. Also talk to your teacher about what group would be best for you.
