There are many ways to get get involved and help support SAYM, a few are highlighted below. Please to contact us if you are able to help in anyway.
Saturday Mornings
Our tuck shop is a major attraction on a Saturday morning for our young musicians and there is also tea and coffee available for parents/carers. These are run by volunteers, so it would be great to hear from you if you can spare the time to help out on the rota.
City Hall Concerts
Each year SAYM hold an annual concert at City Hall. In between the rehearsal and the performance times we are very grateful to those who are able to help the SAYM team in looking after our young musicians. If you are interested in assisting in future concerts please contact our administrator Anna Smith (admin@saym.org.uk) who will be able to advise on the times and duties required.
Fundraising
One of the key aims of the Friends of SAYM Charity is to ensure that the club has sufficient funds to progress its aims and objectives. We also provide financial support in cases of real hardship, to ensure that no one is denied the chance to take part in our music making opportunities. We are always considering new ways to raise funds, so please do approach us with any ideas and suggestions.
A recent innovation has been the opportunity to have professional quality photographs taken of young musicians with their instruments – a really nice way to get a lasting memory of their time with SAYM, and helping the cause at the same time. If you think you have an idea or suggestion, then please get in touch – manager@saym.org.uk
