Training Wind Band
Training Wind Band is for those young musicians who have recently taken up a wind or brass instrument including Flute, Oboe, Bassoon Saxophone, Clarinet, Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn etc. Percussion players are also included.
If you would like to join SAYM you are very welcome to come along to any of the Saturday morning groups and join in the music making. There are no tests or auditions; but you do need to be able to read music for your instrument. If you are not sure come and join in a session as a ‘taster’ and if you like it we can advise the best group for you. Also talk to your teacher about what group would be best for you.

Junior Wind Band
Junior Wind Band is for young musicians who have increasing in confidence and ability with wind or brass instrument including Flute, Oboe, Bassoon Saxophone, Clarinet, Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn etc. Percussion players are also included.

Senior Wind Band
Senior Wind Band is for young musicians who have reached grade 6+ standard on a wind or brass instrument including Flute, Oboe, Bassoon Saxophone, Clarinet, Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn etc. Percussion players are also included.
Entry for this ensemble is by audition or teacher recommendation. If you are of the required standard please do get in touch and come along and join in a rehearsal.
